Origin and history (Withania somnifera)
Ashwagandha grows naturally mainly in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka . It belongs to the nightshade family (like tomatoes and peppers).
In Ayurveda, it has a thousand-year-old tradition - the roots and fruits of the plant are used as the so-called "Rasayana" , which means "the path to rejuvenation".
It was traditionally used for:

How to use Ashwagandha powder?
Organic Ashwagandha powder is very versatile. You can incorporate it into your daily routine in several ways:
1. Classically in a drink
Ashwagandha has a distinctive, slightly bitter and earthy-pungent taste .

mix in warm water or milk (cow's or plant-based)

to soften the taste, add:

honey or other natural sweetener

cocoa, cinnamon or cardamom

2. In a smoothie or porridge
If you don't like the taste itself, it's ideal to add the powder to:

fruit or vegetable smoothie

breakfast oatmeal

yogurt or vegetable dessert
Just 1 teaspoon is enough to enrich your drink/food with a traditional Ayurvedic herb.
3. Moon Milk – an evening ritual to calm down
Moon Milk is a traditional Ayurvedic drink made from milk, spices, and often Ashwagandha. It is most often drunk before bedtime as a calming ritual.
Simple Moon Milk Recipe:

Heat 200 ml of milk (cow's or plant-based).

Add:

1 teaspoon Ashwagandha powder

a pinch of cinnamon, cardamom or turmeric

honey or other sweetener to taste

Mix well or whisk with a whisk.

Drink warm approximately 30 minutes before bedtime.
Recommended dosage
The recommended daily dose may vary by product, but for Ashwagandha Organic powder, the following is commonly recommended:

1–2 teaspoons per day (approx. 2–5 g)
You can divide it, for example, into:

1 teaspoon in the morning (in smoothie/tea)

Tip: If you are new to Ashwagandha, start with a smaller dose (½ teaspoon) and gradually increase it depending on how you feel.
Possible side effects
